Richard Grimbal, LPC-A

Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate

Richard is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and a board-recognized National Certified Counselor. He holds a Master of Divinity and a CACREP-accredited Master of Science in Clinical Counseling.  

In addition to being a full-time LPC-A, Richard serves as a priest in the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina, and assists the Diocese at different churches for Sunday worship. 

As a Christian counselor, Richard’s goal is to be a clinical and spiritual resource for the Lowcountry, providing professional services as a gateway to transformation and healing. He integrates the best of science under the authority of Holy Scripture, and specializes in individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and the adjustment to life’s transitions.

Richard and his family returned to Charleston in 2016, after serving for 22 years as a teacher, coach, and priest in different churches and schools. Richard and his wife, Paige, have 3 grown boys, one daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter who calls Richard, “Dickie.”
