Maddie Bagwell

Licensed Professional Counselor, Associate

Maddie Bagwell is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) who is passionate about helping individuals discover healing, growth, and lasting change. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Business from College of Charleston and a CACREP-accredited Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

Before entering the counseling profession, Maddie spent five years working in the hospitality industry in Charleston, South Carolina, and Asheville, North Carolina. Her desire to become a counselor began through her involvement in high school ministry, where she witnessed the impact of emotional and spiritual growth in the lives of young people. Those experiences inspired a lifelong passion for helping others navigate challenges and move toward wholeness.

Maddie believes each person has a unique story worth understanding. She works collaboratively with clients to explore the roots of their struggles, foster healing, and build meaningful change. Her approach is grounded in clinically sound, evidence-based counseling practices and tailored to each client’s unique needs, values, and goals. For clients who desire it, Maddie is also able to thoughtfully integrate Christian faith and spirituality into the counseling process.

Maddie works with older adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum wellbeing, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, faith and spirituality concerns, and relational difficulties. She is passionate about helping clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and move toward lives that reflect their values and goals.

In her free time, Maddie enjoys spending time with her husband and sons, playing games, reading, and enjoying the beach.
