Karly Sorensen, M.A.

Licensed Professional Counselor, Associate

Karly received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She is trained in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Restoration Therapy (RT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS).

Prior to her counseling career, Karly graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois with a B.A. in Elementary Education and worked as a professional educator in both public and private school settings over a span of 23 years. She has also been assisting her husband, Pastor Paul Sorensen, in church leadership and pastoral counseling since founding ONE Fellowship Church ten years ago. Karly has led educational groups and given lectures focused on marriage and parenting, as well as weekly groups and weekend retreats focused on women’s issues.

Through her many experiences as an educator and as a church leader, Karly has developed a passion for helping families, couples, and individuals thrive through creating meaningful connections and cultivating hope and healing in their hearts and homes. Karly aspires to blend the best of science using evidence-based techniques with the depth and insight of the Christian faith to bring about transformational change in people’s lives.

Karly and her husband have been married for 25 years, and they have three children, one in high school and two who are students at Clemson University. They all love surfing, paddleboarding, and hunting for megalodon shark teeth in the Charleston waterways.
