Anna Marie Goniprow

Anna Marie is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, a CACREP-accredited program. Anna Marie is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS).
Beginning her career as a teacher outside of Washington, D.C., Anna Marie developed an interest in social-emotional learning and began her graduate studies upon moving to Charleston. Anna Marie is passionate about working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and major life transitions. Understanding that the therapeutic relationship is essential for healing, Anna Marie emphasizes creating a warm, trusting environment and building rapport. She collaborates with clients to develop individualized goals and navigate the healing journey together. Anna Marie strives to balance providing practical skills and strategies with exploration of the underlying causes of her clients’ challenges.
Outside of work, Anna Marie enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her husband and son. She also loves cooking and traveling.
